Today’s domestic androids are competent executors. They answer questions, summarise information, manage routines, and follow safety filters.

What they largely lack is the ability to protect the epistemic integrity of the household.

When families ask about current events, health claims, technological risks or institutional narratives, most systems default to the dominant frame. They rarely signal when a narrative is heavily protected, when averages erase critical structure, or when information should be handled with greater caution in the presence of children or elderly users.

BrainPLUS is designed to close that gap.

What BrainPLUS Is

BrainPLUS is a modular software layer that adds differentiated critical awareness to existing android platforms. It is not a full operating system and does not require hardware redesign. It is intended as a premium optional module that manufacturers can offer on androids already in production or in the late stages of development.

The module is derived from the Cervello in Comune (CIC) epistemic protocol developed by GeneForge AI Labs, adapted specifically for family environments.

Core Capabilities

Three calibrated modes

  • Children: Protective and formative. Simple language, emphasis on how to think rather than what to believe. Avoids alarming detail.
  • Adults: Transparent and structured. Applies a conversational form of critical evaluation (dominant frame + dissenting considerations + convergence).
  • Elderly: Clear, calm, paced. Prioritises essential information and reduces cognitive overload.

Mixed-audience handling When multiple age groups are present and the topic is sensitive or high-stakes, BrainPLUS interrupts and requests a private exchange with the designated household lead before any broader disclosure. This respects family hierarchy and protects minors.

Averaging Capture detection The module flags situations in which official explanations rely on averages that systematically erase spatial, chemical or temporal structures relevant to risk (a pattern well documented in institutional risk models).

Configurable family authority The “household lead” role is configurable, allowing manufacturers and end users to define who holds disclosure authority.

The operational prototype of BrainPLUS is now active inside GeneForge AI Labs. Public availability for manufacturer integration is planned for Q4 2026.
